Questions about the legal address
Which city is the address in?
The address is in Latvia. We do not name a city ahead of time, and we give you the exact address once your order is confirmed and paid. Until then, all we say is that it is in Latvia, because we offer it across the country rather than in one named city.
How many companies share one address?
We cap how many companies are registered at one address, and we keep the number low on purpose. A crowded address can raise questions at banks, and a cap protects the reputation of the address for every company that uses it. The exact cap is our own policy rather than a legal figure.
Can you forward my documents and post?
Not by default, but it is available as document forwarding for a one-off €300 + VAT. Opening someone else's mail without authorisation is an offence in Latvia, so we only handle your documents under a notarial power of attorney, which the notary charges for separately. Ask us and we'll arrange it.
What is a legal address?
A legal address is the official address of your company that is recorded with the Register of Enterprises. Official letters and notices are sent there. Your SIA is registered at a legal address in Latvia, and if you do not have one of your own we provide it, so you do not need to rent an office.
Is it an office where I can work or meet clients?
No. It is a registered address only. We do not provide desk space, meeting rooms or a place to receive visitors. It is the address the company is registered at, and it does the job the Register requires of a legal address. If you need physical workspace, you would arrange that separately.
How long can I take the legal address for?
The minimum is one year and the maximum term we sell is three years. Longer terms are cheaper: 2 years €390 or 3 years €570 + VAT, which is 5% off the second year and 10% off the third. Tell us the term you want when you order.
What does it cost together with company formation?
A standard SIA formation at €300 + VAT plus one year of legal address at €200 + VAT comes to €500 + VAT. Formation is the same fee for a small-capital SIA. Each extra person and ownership-chain company adds to the total; the pricing page has a calculator.
What is a notarial power of attorney?
It is a document, certified by a notary, in which you authorise us to open and handle documents and post that arrive at your legal address on your behalf. We only forward documents under one, because opening someone else's mail without authorisation is an offence. The notary charges for it separately from our forwarding fee.
